I am a public health researcher and medical anthropology PhD student. My research lies at the intersection of examining anti-racist policy, reproduction and bioethics.

About Me

I’m a current PhD Student at the University of Central Florida. I have extensive experience in working with non-profits. In my professional career, I have worked as a teacher, serving through Teach for America (TFA) and a program manager with Girls, Inc. of Central Alabama. I also have a cumulative 3 years of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) consultation and facilitation experience.

My studies are specifically positioned to interrogate systematic and systemic racism in the sociopolitical and economic context to examine the ways in which systematic/systemic racism affect Black American women in the rural south. Read more
